You can now have up to 50 attendees at your outdoor wedding ceremony!

Even more great news for wedding parties! The Ontario government announced on Saturday morning that outdoor wedding ceremonies may now have up to 50 attendees.

Safety precautions must still be taken:

“For both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, those attending must follow proper health and safety advice, including practising physical distancing from people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle.”

This means that changes will still likely need to be made to your upcoming outdoor wedding, like spacing out seats to be two-metres apart and asking guests to wear masks and avoid physical contact. Perhaps consider holding off on giving grandma a hug!

We note that the maximum limit for indoor wedding receptions remains at 10 attendees until further notice. In other words, you can have many friends and family witnessing your marriage, but you’ll get to enjoy an intimate celebration dinner with the most exclusive circle of loved ones.

Don’t forget to count yourselves, the officiant, and photographers/videographers among the number of attendees for the ceremony (and reception, though we don’t expect you to invite the officiant!).
