Toronto will begin issuing Marriage Licences to all couples on June 22

This past week has been a boon for exciting updates: John Tory, Mayor of Toronto, just announced that City Hall will be issuing Marriage Licences to anyone by appointment beginning this coming Monday, June 22nd!

From CBC Toronto:

“Toronto residents who wish to obtain a marriage licence must book an appointment online.

They will need to complete an online application three days prior to an appointment. Applicants with appointments will need to travel to the North York Civic Centre. All other civic centre and city hall service counters remain closed.”

Since mid-March, Toronto has been issuing Marriage Licences only in urgent or compassionate situations.

It costs $140 to obtain a Marriage Licence from the City of Toronto. If you’re wondering where you can get it for cheaper, get instant access to our Marriage Licence Tracker! You can get married anywhere in Ontario with a valid Marriage Licence no matter which Ontario municipality you obtain it from.
